We are delighted that this event, like the pre-brokerage days in November 2011, are being supported by our ICT cluster colleagues – CATRENE, CELTIC-PLUS, ITEA2 and EURIPIDES.

Why Come?  This event will particularly bring together applied RTD practitioners across the Water and Information & Communications Technologies (ICT) sectors to network and to find partners for projects under our Call 5.  Call 5 will open before the end of January 2012 and is due for labelling in June 2012.  ACQUEAU calls place a strong emphasis on the delivery of exploitable RTD outcomes, and on the forming of strong partnerships between SMEs and large enterprises, often with the support of leading European RTD institutions.

·   Come with innovative project ideas for a great opportunity to sell your ideas and find potential partners

·   This is an opportunity for you to initiate/join projects that address some of the high priority water resource, water distribution, wastewater collection and process issues

·    Meet a broad representation of water supply and sewerage providers and some of the leading European researchers

What are the Call themes? From the pre-brokerage event in November 2011, we have finalised the content of Call 5 under 3 theme headings as follows:

Call 5A – Water & ICT Innovations for Sensing & Monitoring Applications in the Water Cycle

Call 5B – Low Energy Processes for Disinfection & Oxidation

Call 5C – Open Call within the context of the ACQUEAU Blue Book

For more details, see Acqueau Blue Book 2, 2010, or see the full theme descriptors for the event.

Who should participate?  This event is a great opportunity to bring together SMEs, LEs and Research Institutions to form strong project partnerships.

·  SMEs (including start-ups) working in technological fields including data analysis software, embedded systems, communications, sensing & monitoring, process, etc.

·  Large enterprise ICT technologists looking for new market opportunities in the water sector

·  Large enterprise process technologists looking to develop complete solutions

·  Water supply and sewerage providers

·  RTD institutions who can marry together water management expertise with latest process and ICT technologies.

How should I participate?  ACQUEAU designs its events to be as interactive as possible, to create dialogues that are constructive and approved by all parties involved.  We encourage all attendees to get as involved as possible, and propose 3 main ways in which this can be done:

·  Come with 1 or more project ideas and be prepared to make a short presentation during session 2

·  Set up a project idea “stand” during session 3 and be prepared to discuss your project ideas with other prospective partners

·  Come willing to ask questions and to browse the project idea “stands”

How do I register?  Please fill out our registration form here.

What are the practicalities of attending? For practical details for hotels and location etc. please view our practical information pack and our agenda for more details.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to this innovative pan-European and technologically exciting event.

Yours Faithfully
